Article in new issue of Feminist Theology

I have an article in the new (May 2012) issue of Feminist Theology. This is the twentieth anniversary issue, and is subtitled "The Futures of Feminist Theology". My piece is entitled "Recognizing the Full Spectrum of Gender? Transgender, Intersex and the Futures of Feminist Theology", and I argue that feminist theologies and thealogies which use essentialist conceptions of womanhood and female embodiment risk excluding transgender and intersex woman.

The other contributors to this special issue include: Lisa Isherwood; Rosemary Radford Ruether; Agnes Rafferty; Megan Clay; Michele Paule; June Boyce-Tillman; Mary Grey; Janet Wootton; Carol P. Christ; and Beverley Clack.
